Finally got weighed today and I am pleased to report that I am 20lbs lighter! My weight is exactly 250lbs (17 stone 8lbs; 113kg). I must confess to being incredibly nervous and apprehensive before stepping on the scales. Why? Because I have been putting in SO much effort. I have NEVER been this focused before and consider this to be an entirely new chapter for me.
On many occasions in the past I have changed my diet or exercise routine after a while, but not this time. I am gonna keep on doing what I am doing for as long as possible.
My aim is to be as close to 17 stone as possible by the end of the month. I know this will be hard as it is the festive period and I usually gain a lot of weight. I intend to try my best however, and will do my utmost to prevail.
Well done that is terrific! I have been keeping up with your progress and you can be very proud of yourself. And running in the snow …… wow that must be tough. Our climate (South Africa) is the exact opposite at the moment … rather too hot to do much!
I too have lost just over 4kg (sorry don’t know how to convert it) in 3 weeks by being very careful with what I eat and when I eat. But as you say the tough part is coming … Christmas!

4kg is almost 9lbs, which is pretty awesome for just three weeks! You deserve a big pat on the back for that.
My best friend lives in SA and he tells me also that it has been incredibly hot – I am so jealous! I have just finished a weights session in the garage and the thermometer said it was minus 4 degrees! I think I almost got frostbite when I first picked up a dumbbell!

I have gone off the rails a bit but haven’t put back any of the 4kg .. just staying the same. It really is difficult this time of the year.
This week has been a totally ‘unSouth African’ one in terms of weather. It has rained non stop and has actually turned cold …. very weird for this time of year. We always get summer rain in Joburg but it normally comes in one huge storm and then is over and down with in an hour. This is just miserable … I hate it!!
Minus 4 – I would slit my damn wrists …… Keep up the good work with your eating and training.
